Repeated calls from a purported survey firm claim I own a vehicle I sold long ago; despite blocking each number, they continue to call from new lines.

Why do persistent callers like this one keep ringing despite being blocked? It seems these nuisance calls often stem from outdated databases, where your details linger long after a vehicle's sale. The repeated attempts, even from varying numbers, suggest a scam operation masquerading as legitimate surveys to extract personal info. Hang up immediately and never engage—sharing details could lead to identity theft. Report to Action Fraud or the Information Commissioner's Office to help curb such harassment. Consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service for fewer unwanted calls, and use apps to screen unknowns. Stay vigilant to protect your privacy.
