The call promoted “alternative investments”, which is clearly a fraud designed to drain your money as fast as possible.

In the bustling streets of London this afternoon, reports on calls from this number paint a mixed picture, with some users hailing it as a legitimate survey from a market intelligence firm, while others flag it as a scam peddling dubious alternative investments or lottery traps. The inconsistencies suggest either varied caller tactics or misidentifications, but the prevalence of scripted, evasive pitches raises red flags for potential fraud. To stay safe, always verify the caller's identity independently—hang up and ring back using official numbers. Enable your phone's spam blocker, register with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unsolicited calls, and never share personal or financial details over the phone. If suspicious, report to Action Fraud straight away.

The caller claimed to represent "Viticol Investments" but refused to spell the name, gave no registration details, and read from a script. Every question I raised was met with a vague challenge about alternative investments, and the script restarted. No record of them appears on UK, Ireland or Jersey financial registers.
When I answered, the line immediately played western‑style country music, like being on hold, indicating an unsolicited sales call. Ignore the “safe” remarks; why would they call unless you’d already visited or were expecting a survey?
A legitimate survey firm reached out, and the representative was courteous.
I talked with a pleasant agent who was conducting a marketing survey.
This appears to be a completely safe number from a reputable market‑intelligence firm.
An automated notice informed me of a free lottery ticket, which is probably a premium‑rate scam.
