Like a shadowy figure slipping a counterfeit note into your mailbox, a call from +16284005983 often signals a scam trying to force a $299 iYogi maintenance charge. The voicemail may sound urgent, mentions auto‑renewal, and a threat of legal action if you don’t call back. Do not engage; hang up and block the number. Verify any alleged contracts by logging into the official iYogi website or contacting their verified support line—not the number left on the message. Report the call to your carrier and to the FTC’s complaint portal. Staying skeptical and keeping records helps stop these bogus claims.
A call threatened to charge me for an iyogi bill, claiming I had signed up for the service. This is a blatant deception, and I strongly advise against engaging with such scammers.
Two calls were received from this number, claiming that a charge of $299 was imminent for an iYogi contract that I had no intention of renewing, leading me to believe that this is a bogus call.
A voicemail message falsely claimed an impending charge of $299 for a computer maintenance plan with iYogi, stating that it would auto-renew, and requested a callback to this number to arrange for a refund; this is entirely bogus, as no purchase was ever made from them.
A voice mail message was left, containing a threat, but the caller's identity remains unknown.
