Watch out for unsolicited Uber‑related texts that include a verification code and a link. These messages are typically phishing attempts designed to harvest your login credentials or lure you into a fraudulent payment flow. Never click on embedded URLs or reply to the message. If you didn’t request a ride, delete the text and consider blocking the number. Enable two‑factor authentication on your Uber account and monitor your payment methods for any unauthorized charges. Report the scam to Uber’s support and, if needed, to your carrier’s fraud department.
