Expertomdöme
Unexpectedly, these messages expose how easily personal details can be harvested through a generic Yahoo Messenger gateway. The pattern shows repeated job offers, fake prizes, and claims of military service—all hallmarks of scam activity. Victims should immediately disable Yahoo Messenger integration with their phone number, tighten privacy settings on all email accounts, and use carrier‑provided spam filters to block the prefix 009/924. Report each incident to the FTC and your mobile provider, and never share banking info or send money to unsolicited contacts. Regularly review credit reports for unfamiliar activity to catch potential identity theft early.

Billing inquiries have arisen regarding the cost of texting this number, especially since my boyfriend, who resides in Saudi, has a similar number starting with 009-66X-XXXXXXXX.
A call was received from someone claiming to be from New York, but the voice sounded oriental, and the caller ID showed a number that appears to be international, likely a scam attempting to sell something or gather computer information.
