Expertenmeinung
Earlier today, a wave of calls from +64 9983 0799 has been reported across New Zealand, with most callers pretending to be Vodafone representatives and pushing dubious upgrades or free‑data offers. The pattern suggests a spoofed scam operation rather than legitimate sales. Protect yourself by never sharing personal details, licence numbers or payment info over an unsolicited call. Verify any Vodafone outreach by hanging up and dialing the official customer service number or using the official app. Enable your phone’s built‑in spam filter, add the number to a block list, and report it to your carrier and to the NZFS. Regularly review your account online for unexpected changes.
