The caller from Suncorp was legitimate, as they were aware of my recent account activity with the company.

GIO, AAMI, Shannons, APIA, Vero, Bingle and Suncorp are all owned by Suncorp, so it's not a scam, they will contact you to discuss the claim if you have been involved in a motor accident, they already have your details.
I can confirm that this number is legit, its from Suncorp Insurance, they called me to discuss my insurance claim, they verified my details before we proceded with the call.
Upon answering, the caller immediately hung up after requesting to speak with someone.
