Three times now – July 9, July 14, and ten minutes ago (4/8/25) – I got a PayPal‑style code after a purchase. Looks shady, so steer clear of this number, buddy.

Opinia expertului
Apparently several people have flagged +61458729725 as a source of PayPal‑styled verification codes. The pattern points to a classic smishing operation where attackers send a six‑digit verification code via SMS and then follow up with a call demanding the number or personal details. Recipients often see messages about account security, fraudulent purchases or urgent compliance with Australian regulations, all of which are fabricated. Because PayPal never initiates contact on a personal mobile number, any unsolicited code should be treated as suspicious. Block the number, report it to your carrier and to the Australian Consumer Affairs, and always verify directly through the official PayPal app or website before responding.
