These calls are from Kantar, a market research company, often working on behalf of Nielsen Television Audience Measurement to update TV ratings in Australia. The calls are not scams but can be frustrating, especially if you're on the Do Not Call register. Many callers are students or part-time workers who face pressure to meet KPIs. If you receive these calls, consider politely declining participation if you're busy. If the calls persist or occur at inconvenient times, feel free to block the number. It’s crucial to verify the legitimacy of the caller, especially if they hang up immediately. Remember, unsolicited calls, even if legitimate, can be intrusive, so take control of your phone by blocking or reporting them if necessary.
