Credit Card Scam Masquerading as NAB - +61 2 8776 0270 ((02) 8776 0270)

A voice pretended to be NAB on 14/5 and 12/5/2025, sounding very convincing unless you’re wary. The number appears linked to Liverpool NSW, plus I’ve received similar calls from a Melbourne line on 13/5/2025, a Bankstown line on 12/5/2025, and an Avalon source. When I answered from work, the person said they were with NAB Parramatta but couldn’t specify the branch location.

Apparently those callers claim to be from NAB, but I never have an account there; they try to trick you into pressing a key to confirm the call – creepy they even knew my name, lol.

Fraud.

The number is tied to Argon Oil Essences’ TV ad complaints department and similar entities. They act as scammers, insisting on email for order cancellations, flooding you with email lists, and continuing to charge your card until you replace it at the bank. Stay away from them.

This looks like a scam – avoid answering, picking up, or returning the call.

Definitely a phishing attempt – I rang NAB after a prior call and they confirmed they never use an automated voice to request personal details, yet the same number called again today, no kidding.

It isn’t NAB; this is a reported scam number I’ve logged.

An automated NAB message informed me of an alleged credit‑card debt and instructed me to press one to confirm my name twice.
