A heavily accented male caller, claiming to represent the ATO, stated that an arrest warrant was being issued due to alleged tax fraud, but failed to provide specific details or credentials.
A person claiming to be Jason O'Connor, with an Asian accent, contacted me, alleging that I was about to be arrested for tax fraud; the obvious nature of the scam made it easy to recognize.
Upon recieving a message from a female with an indian accent, I immediatly became sceptical and disregarded the call, only to recieve another message from someone claiming to be Jason O'Connor from the ATO.
