Scammers have been active since late 2024 and early 2025, making calls, sending text messages, WhatsApp messages, and automated voice messages to deceive people with fake plans from WOM, Claro, Movistar, 5G, sales, loans, and promotions, in order to obtain personal data, addresses, dates, and passwords; they also offer fake job opportunities to download harmful programs on your cell phone and steal your passwords and money, among other things. Most of the phone numbers are from Colombia, but there are accomplices in different countries around the world.
