专家点评
Many people describe the call as an unwanted follow‑up after speaking to their energy provider. The number +448008838289 routinely leaves an automated voice claiming to be a customer‑service survey from SSE. While some callers report a genuine feedback request, a large share label the call as harassing or dangerous, especially when the caller asks you to press numbers. If you receive such a call, let the call go to voicemail, note the time and content, and then verify the request by logging into your SSE online account or contacting the official support line. Block the number if you suspect fraud, and never share personal details or press any prompts without confirmation.

Having recently spoken with SSE and subsequently filed a formal complaint, I answered this call expecting it to be related. However, it was an automated message from an unnamed energy supplier seeking feedback, prompting me to hang up without engaging further.
The call was ignored, but based on previous reports, it appears to be from SSE, with whom I do not have an account, and was related to a recent call requiring feedback

I received a recorded message about an unnamed energy supplier offering a chance to participate in a customer satisfaction survey. The first question was quite suspicious, providing options to press 1 or 2. I chose neither and ended the call.

A call from this number claimed to be from "the energy company you spoke to recently", but when I ended the call and blocked the number, I realized it was likely a scam, especially since I had spoken to SSE Electric the previous week.
