Dealing with this nuisance because my Santander credit cards are already overdrawn, so someone must've accessed that info and is misusing my number for illegal calls. The robo‑message keeps mispronouncing my surname each time—leaving three or four voicemails monthly, very persistent. I dn't think it's a coincidence. Finally Googled the number and was relieved I never called back; looks like another scumbag scam!! 😡

Confirmed with Santander via their app that this number is not theirs. The positive comments elsewhere are misleading and possibly fraudulent.

Ignore this call, block the number and report it, then delete it from your phone. It's high time these fraudsters were caught.

This morning, I got a text from 07862121713, claiming to be from Santander, stating they would call between 4pm and 6pm. The message included my full name and the last four digits of my bank account. An 0800 number called later, and when I answered, it was silent. It seems they might have accessed my information from somewhere, as I am cautious about my purchases. They are likely trying to gather more details for fraudulent purposes. DO NOT ENGAGE AND REPORT IMMEDIATELY. ALSO, INFORM YOUR BANK TO ALERT CUSTOMERS. Stay safe.

They addressed me as a robot, asked for my name, then when I confirmed, tried to transfer me to a Santander representative. Fortunately I saw a tweet from Santander’s official account warning that this number isn’t theirs and is a scam.
