Opinión del experto
Imagine picking up the phone to a voice claiming your BT line is compromised, urging immediate action. This setup screams scam tactics, where fraudsters impersonate trusted providers like British Telecom to extract personal details or payments. Such calls often prey on fears of service disruptions or data breaches. Hang up without engaging—never share info or click links they provide. Report the incident to authorities like Action Fraud in the UK or your local consumer protection agency. Block the number and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unwanted calls. Staying vigilant shields your finances and privacy from these deceptive ploys.
