A fraudulent caller named Jason pretended to represent Housing Services, the gas board, and Eco Solar. When I called back, the voicemail identified him as Jason Taylor from Eco Solar. Company House lists his address in Mansfield. Report any such calls to Mansfield police as they target the elderly and vulnerable.
I called back and spoke to a company called “Best Quotes”; I suspect they’re linked to the recent housing repair scam circulating.
A caller from 07488888377 rang about solar panels, quoting an installation fee of £99 and a monthly charge of £45 that would later drop. I said I wasn't interested, yet he persisted, even asking if we owned a home. I ended the conversation, hung up, and blocked the number. This was the second similar call today, also blocked—clearly a scam.
