Expert Opinion
Like a wolf in sheep's clothing, these calls from unknown numbers often disguise themselves as helpful advice or urgent alerts to trick you into sharing details. Comments point to fraudulent pitches posing as energy advisers or bank representatives, both flagged as dangerous. Never disclose personal or financial information over unsolicited calls—hang up immediately and report to Action Fraud. Verify any claims directly with your bank using official numbers. Block the number on your phone and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service to cut down on nuisance calls. Staying vigilant keeps your data safe.
