I encountered a bank card scam: after trying to pay for parking I was redirected to a gambling site, my card was frozen, and then this number claimed to be Nationwide, saying I made the payment and needed to speak with them – clearly a card‑info scam.
I got a text saying my card was used and asking me to ring an 0800 or mobile number to verify transactions – definitely a scam.
They claimed to be from my bank, asking me to approve a payment and even gave card details, but the number has no link to my bank – I blocked it and froze the card.
