A voice claimed I’d won a free iPad, even though I don’t hold an EE account—total nonsense, so I blocked it.

Ever received a call promising a free gadget out of the blue? This number fits the classic scam pattern, where callers dangle prizes like a free iPad to hook you, often spoofing legitimate providers such as EE to seem credible. The twist here—no actual account needed—screams fraud, as genuine offers don't cold-call like this. Hang up immediately if you spot unsolicited winnings or urgent demands for details. Block the number via your phone settings or carrier app to stop repeats, and report it to Action Fraud for wider protection. Stay vigilant; these tricks prey on excitement, but verifying through official channels keeps your info safe.
