Ever wondered why that unsolicited call from an unfamiliar number leaves you uneasy? These reports paint a clear picture of persistent scam attempts, often masquerading as representatives from mobile providers like EE or Three, pushing outdated SIM claims or bill-saving offers. Callers, typically with Indian accents, hang up abruptly or transfer to others when challenged, confirming fraudulent intent. Block the number immediately and report it to your network provider or Action Fraud to curb further harassment. Never share personal details; genuine companies won't cold-call for such pretexts. If in doubt, contact the official service directly using verified channels. Staying vigilant protects your data and peace of mind.

On 30/06/25 at 11:20, an Indian‑accented caller pretended to be from EE, offering to save me money and arrange a transfer. I enjoyed teasing him by saying I’d report him as a scam. Hutchinson 3G UK Ltd should review who they’re assigning numbers to.

They disconnected the call the moment my EU ringtone played. No legitimate caller would behave like that or leave a message.
