Opinia eksperta
Beware of unsolicited calls claiming government benefits. Hang up immediately if the caller requests personal details or payments to access funds like the winter fuel allowance. Verify claims directly through official GOV.UK channels or by contacting the Department for Work and Pensions on verified lines. Scammers often spoof UK numbers while operating abroad, such as from the Philippines, to build false trust. Report suspicious activity to Action Fraud to help curb these frauds. Always protect your information and never share banking details over the phone.
