Ekspertvurdering
In the midst of a busy afternoon in Manchester, reports emerge of calls mimicking official voices from the DWP. These seem like classic impersonation attempts, where fraudsters pretend to be from the Department for Work and Pensions to extract personal details or payments. Hang up immediately if something feels off—genuine DWP won't demand instant info over the phone. Block the number straight away and report it to Action Fraud for investigation. Verify any claims directly through official channels, like the gov.uk website, to stay safe from these scam tactics. Sharing experiences helps others dodge similar pitfalls.
