Spotting fake M&S Bank fraud alerts - +44 345 900 0900 (0345 900 0900)

A scam text was received, allegedly from M and S bank, using their genuine phone number, so beware of potential phishing.

A caller claimed to be from Marks and Spencers Bank, asking to confirm my address, but when I questioned their motives, they abruptly ended the call, revealing the illegitimate nature of the call despite using a genuine M&S number.

This is a scam; please be very careful.

A letter about a credit card arrived, but since I don't have an M&S card, I rang the number and was asked for bank account details - a clear scam, so beware

An automated call was made by a woman, accompanied by a barking dog, claiming to represent M&S Security, which seemed highly unprofessional compared to the usual standards of M&S

I found this number online when i was trying to report a fraude that happend to my friend to Marks & Spencer Bank, but it turn out they are scammers so im taking action.

A suspicious letter was sent to my husband, asking him to call and provide banking details to claim a refund for an overpayment, which is clearly a scam.

Argos purchase scam attempted

A caller claimed to be from M&S bank, saying they were returning my call, but I hadn't contacted them, and when I pointed this out, they hung up right away.

The caller claimed to be from Marks and Spencer credit card, stating a large transaction had occoured in Manchester, when I denied it, they offered a refund, but needed some details, they already had several of my details, but not my full card number, which I refused to give, they hung up, I later confirmed with M&S bank that it was a scam, very dangerus, do not give out details over the phone, especialy to unverified callers.

A call was made from this number regarding a bank transaction, with the caller possessing some of my information, making him seem credible; however, when he asked for my card details to cancel it, I refused, and he ended the call abruptly - a scam attempt that was foiled after I contacted my bank.

The caller has been flagged as a scammer.

Today, 22-11-23, someone claiming to represent M&S Bank phoned me. After requesting verification details, they abruptly ended the call. It’s a scam, so be careful everyone.
