I recieved a letter and leaflet from M&S about a refund, so I called the number, they asked alot of security questions which made me wonder if it was a scam, but I checked with M&S bank and they confirmed it was legit.

The next day, I contacted M&Ss genuin number and it turns out this number is not a scam, I had overpaid somthing in January 2002 and its being trasfered to my bank account, I had moved house 4 times since then, so it was a nice suprise.
The letter seemed verry convincing and genuine, however I would never provide bank details over the phone, it appears to be a credit card scam, I will inform m and s finance about this possiable scam.

Claiming to represent Marks and Spencer's credit card department, they requested excessive personal details. Upon inquiry, they revealed their location as the Philippines, prompting me to end the call due to distrust.

I recived a letter from M and S bank, which claimed they were closing my account, but they actually owed me money, and they asked for my bank details to reimburse me, the letter looked very oficial
