Following numerous debt collection calls from agents regarding an unpaid SSE bill, now owned by OVO, I discovered that my smart meters had recorded all my payments, leaving me with a £90 credit when I moved out. After contacting the company, I was assured a cheque would be sent, which arrived 10 months later, but it was for less than half of what they owed me, and it stated I owed them nothing. Subsequent calls from 0344 543 9169 claimed I owed £365, which is rediculous. It's worth noting that there's evidence of SSE overcharging and fabricating figures, similar to the post office scandal. Persevere and gather evidence to support your case.

It seems that +443445439169 is a number associated with a debt collection agency, often claiming to act on behalf of SSE or other energy suppliers. Users report receiving calls, texts, and letters demanding payment for debts they don't recognise, often threatening to affect their credit ratings. Many have found these communications to be persistent and harassing, with some noting discrepancies in the information provided. For instance, some were told they owed money for services they never used or had already paid for. The caller has been identified as possibly using different numbers to bypass blocks, making it difficult to avoid their contact. If you receive such calls, it’s crucial to verify the debt with your energy supplier directly and report any harassment to the relevant authorities. Don’t give out personal information and consider blocking the number if the calls persist.

Over the past eight months, I've received numerous calls from this number, which I've ignored, and now they're sending letters every week; it's frustrating that there's no clear way to report or complain about this harassment.

Have been getting text messages and a letter from this place. They claim I owe money and threaten my credit score. They say they're from SSE. I'm always in credit with my energy supplier. These people are so frustrating. I've blocked them, but they keep using different numbers.
This number is asociated with LCS
Claiming to represent eon, a company I have never been associated with, I do not trust this number.

I was targeted by a fake debt collection scam supposedly from LCS on behalf of SSE, claiming a debt from 4 years ago that does not exist
Despite having paid an SSE bill, threatening letters have been received, stating that credit ratings will be affected.

I've received numerous calls, messages, and texts claiming that I owe a debt for a pre-paid meter that I never used or received a key for; they refuse to discuss the property's address, which was sold eight months ago and is presumably the source of the alleged debt - I've refused to provide any information and blocked them on my phone, yet they continue to leave automated messages on my voicemail.
Lcs informed me I had outstanding debts.
Following a call from Lcs, I was informed that I had debt with SSE, however upon contacting SSE, I was told that an error had occured on my account and I didnt actualy owe any debt. Obviosly, this was a SCAM!!!!!!!
Received a letter from SSE with this number, though I had settled the debt months prior.
Although the caller claimed to be from LCS, the number appears to be unassociated with the company, and the caller's voice was barely audible
The caller purportedly represented LSC and mentioned an energy debt
