A text message purportedly from M&S was deemed suspicious, as it requested a call to a different number regarding a declined transaction, and was subsequently confirmed as a scam by M&S Card Enquiries
I received a call claiming to be from MS, asking if I'd used my card on eBay and urging me to call back.
They asserted they were from Santander, claiming we had spent over £600 at Asda and instructed me to call a specific number.

Its a fraude, they got this number from the hsbc mobile banking app, but its not actually them, probably too late by the time you relise its a scam and look this number up though
