Upon receiving a call, the person on the other end inquired about my damp situation, to which I replied that I had no idea what they were referring to; when asked for their identity, they claimed to be from social housing, but refused to provide a name or specify who they wished to speak to, eventually hanging up after I stated I wasn't affiliated with social housing

전문가 의견
Just after lunch, a wave of silent, abrupt calls began to surface across several households, leaving recipients frustrated and wary. These calls rarely convey a purpose, often ending the call within seconds, which is a hallmark of harassment and potential scam activity. Block the number on your device, report it to your provider and to Ofcom, and consider enabling call‑screening services. Never share personal or financial details with unknown callers, especially when they refuse to identify themselves. If the calls persist, lodge a formal complaint and explore call‑barring options offered by your network to stop the nuisance permanently.
