Never share sensitive information with an unsolicited call, and report suspicious calls to your local police.

This is a police contact number.
The number belongs to the Met Police. If you ignore the "no caller ID", they’ll call back from this line because some people block unknown numbers. After speaking with them I double‑checked via 101 and confirmed it was legitimate.
Potential scam alert.
This was definitely the Met Police; after my hit‑and‑run accident they rang me two days later to check I was alright. Definitely not a scam.
Were this a scam, the number wouldn’t have been active for more than ten years. It’s a legitimate Met Police line from central London; only those with something to hide or fearing police would rate it negatively. Just pointing out the TPS rating shows it’s exempt, meaning it’s been cleared as safe.
After receiving five missed calls, I looked up the number and realised it was a scam – thanks everyone.
After three rings I finally answered, and the caller said they were contacting me about a missing person, claiming they'd received my number. I told them I wasn't the individual, they thanked me and hung up, sounding sincere.

Could be scammers or the Met Police, not sure. Either way, both are wastes of space and hair, even the bald ones. Includes the so-called female ones too!

Someone claiming to be PC Wayne Kerr contacted me, and given the unlikely nature of the name, it's probably legitimate.

This number has been identified as a police scam
My phone rang briefly. It was right next to me, so I went to pick it up and they hung up. I reported a crime earlier today, so I suspect those commenting might be correct about it being the Met police. Just unsure why they disconnected so quickly. I wish people wouldn’t do that.
