My elderly father was targeted by a scammer posing as Alex Green from Barclays' fraud team, who claimed his account had suspicious transactions and had been temporarily stopped; fortunately, his grandson intervened and stopped him from divulging more personal details, and Barclays later confirmed it was a total scam, resulting in the need to cancel cards and freeze the account

My oap friend was contacted by this scammer, who told her she had been scammed and instructed her to withdraw £4000 from her bank, thankfully the bank was helpfull and reassured her everyting was ok, I will be reporting this incident to Action Fraud, it was a releif
The individual on the other end claimed to represent Bank Of Scotland, stating they were investigating suspicious activity on my account
