At 21:15 on 15/09/2024, I received a call from an individual claiming to be from PayPal, who had access to my name, email address, and home address. They inquired about a transaction in Edinburgh and asked if I was aware of it. When I questioned why they were calling from a private number, they provided a vague explanation and offered to call back from an office number. This number then called me twice, but I ignored the calls and blocked the number. It is essential not to provide any information to this number, as they already possess a significant amount of personal data.
I recieved a call from someone claiming to be from Monzo, saying they'd detected fraudulent activity on my card, but when i checked the app, it said it was a scam, and i've learnt to always ring my bank to check these kind of calls.
Following two calls from this number claiming to be from Revolut, I was asked to update my passcode, but I refused and they hung up; when I tried to call back, the number was blocked.
A caller from this number claim to be from Revolut, it sounded plausible, but I said I didn't have the card, and he said he would call back, but he didn't, so I'm not sure if he was a scammer or not
I got two calls from 02081440932, they clamed to be from virgin media/O2, the person had an indian accent and was hard to understand, they offered a discount but didnt know what it was for
