The pattern of rapid, repeated calls from the same 020 prefix, often paired with voicemails, points to a coordinated phishing effort that exploits trust in services like Vinted. Ignoring the call, never sharing the code, and promptly blocking the number are the quickest defences. Users should also review recent account activity, enable two‑factor authentication, and lodge a complaint with the Telephone Preference Service. A call landed on my landline where an automated voice recited a six‑digit code, repeated it and warned never to share it with staff or anyone else. I wasn't engaged in any activity that required a code. From earlier messages it seems either my number was entered accidentally or the scammers dialled the wrong sequence.
An Indian call centre was attempting theft – stay clear.
Several calls have come from this number; our weak signal often drops the call. Received voicemails containing Vinted activation codes. Number now blocked.
