Currently, we're receiving frequent calls from two numbers with the same prefix but different endings; since they're unrecognized, we don't answer, and as soon as our answering machine picks up, the caller hangs up.
On Friday, 19th July 2024, at 8:50 AM, a man with a standard English accent called, claiming to be from Windows and Doors Ltd. He said they specialise in replacing windows and doors over 10 years old. When I asked where the company was based, there was a long pause, making it clear I was speaking to an automated system. He then stated they operate in my postcode area. I pointed out it seemed like a machine, and the ‘caller’ wished me a nice day before hanging up. This was clearly a scam. Be cautious of this well-spoken young man; he's actually a robot!
During a conversation, a man claiming to be Dave from Windows and Doors Ltd offered a discount on new doors and windows, but the call ended abruptly when it was revealed that the windows had recently been replaced, suggesting a potential scam.
