Expertomdöme
Patterns in these reports reveal a surge in unsolicited calls pushing energy-saving schemes, particularly loft insulation grants via automated bots. Recipients often face persistent scripts that ignore objections, leading to quick hang-ups or blocks. Such tactics suggest nuisance telemarketing at minimum, with scam risks if grants sound too good to be true. To shield personal data, always verify claims independently—check official government sites for legitimate schemes. Register with the Telephone Preference Service to cut unwanted calls, and report suspicious ones to Action Fraud. Never share details over unsolicited lines; if in doubt, hang up promptly.

Silent Call
A call to my landline was silent and was terminated after about four seconds.
An AI‑driven scam attempted to discuss a loft‑insulation grant, hanging up when my answer didn’t match their script.
Automated message discussed home insulation; despite saying we’re a business, it continued. Ended the call.
Another unsolicited call from a local energy‑adviser call centre was blocked.
