Unfamiliar numbers never get picked up by me. These 020 calls are especially relentless though. Probably three in the past hour. My home phone's block list is growing lengthy now.
Posed as an energy firm… But they disconnect right after hearing it's council-owned. Must've snagged the number from a fraudster's database.

Nuisance fraud ring, likely automated dialler; I let it go to voicemail. Once engaged, it drops without recording anything. BT ought to bar this number. Initially I'd respond, only to hear pitches for state-funded insulation or similar nonsense, total fibs. Discovered that staying mute on pickup silences them till they quit. These days I verify the caller ID for kin or mates; if skipped, real ones leave a note
