My mobile rang claiming to be my provider; at first the caller said BT, then switched to EE after noticing my number is linked there. He warned that my SIM was outdated and would be deactivated within 48 hours, insisting a new SIM would be sent via DPD tomorrow and demanded my email for security. After I refused and said I'd contact EE myself, he grew frantic and mentioned escalating to a manager. I ended the call, blocked the number, and expect further scam attempts.

Opini ahli
Block unsolicited calls immediately to safeguard your details. These persistent attempts from London-based numbers often signal scams impersonating providers like BT or EE, aiming to extract personal info such as emails for further fraud. In one case, the caller switched identities mid-conversation and pushed for a fake SIM replacement via DPD, escalating when challenged. Another involved rapid-fire ringing without voicemail, flagged as spam. Verify claims directly with your actual provider using official channels, never shared numbers. Enable spam filters on your phone and report to authorities like Action Fraud to curb these nuisances. Staying vigilant prevents data breaches.
