After seven attempts – early mornings and evenings – I blocked the number that pretended to be a dog charity, only to pressure me into additional donations despite my regular contributions elsewhere.

Following a conversation with the caller from this number, who claimed to represent a dogs trust, I became sceptical as they thanked me for supposidly signing a support article about a dogs life, which I dont recall doing. The story seemed extremly nice and plausable, but I was cautious when they asked about my pets and I informed them I never make donations over the phone, at which point they ended the call abruptly.

This number called several times in one day, all of which I missed. After looking it up, it appears to be a scam pretending to be Dogs Trust, so I’ve blocked it.
The Dogs Trust organisation contacted me after I opted in to their calls on Facebook.
