Someone pretended to be Octopus Energy, demanding an electricity meter reading even though our account isn’t with them – draw your own conclusions.
A caller pretended to be Scottish Power, wanting to discuss a meter that supposedly isn’t working – then switched to British Gas after two minutes, denied the error, called back when I hung up and became abusive when I mentioned reporting them.
Someone pretended to be from E‑on Energy, claimed my service was about to be disconnected and became abusive; they couldn't even confirm my name.
Received a call from this number, which I suspect is linked to a March scam; the caller said they were from British Gas wanting to change the meter – definitely a scam, stay alert!
