Obviously a call‑centre operation; a female with a heavy accent asked for Miss Rachel (no surname). Although the number appears local, it is actually rerouted from abroad.
This was a scam: the caller babbled for six minutes about Power of Attorney and asked pointless financial questions before cutting the call short.
A call centre claimed to be 118, yet after I mentioned three prior calls this week, the agent said it was our first chat and that they were 118 online, a different firm; these repeated 118‑style calls from varied numbers seem like data‑selling ploys.
Seems like a call centre scam.
