A false claim was made that BT would only provide landlines and broadband to business accounts, prompting a request to transfer to EE, which was untrue; a follow-up call is expected tomorrow.
Following a call purportedly from BT regarding a switch to EE for my broadband service, I expressed concern and requested written confirmation due to previous issues with dropped calls. The representative insisted on discussing the matter over the phone, and when I declined, they terminated the call. What's concerning is that the number appears to be alternating between available and unavailable, and I'm still within a 2-year contract that was set up by EE less than a year ago.
A BT representative was claimed to be the caller, who discussed a merger with EE and offered a new deal, but hung up after being asked to send an email instead.
On Monday, I received a call from someone claiming that EE and BT were now merged and wanted to discuss potential deals with me. After asking for my mobile number's last digits, they promised to send a verification text message, but I refused to engage with them, requesting instead that they send me written information if their offer was legitimate. I found their approach to be harassing and ended the call.

The number was not reconized, no message was left, I considder it a posible scam and therefore its dangerus.
I was asked about BT's merger with EE and if I could answer some questions, but I pretended to be unaware, and they ended the call.
The caller claimed to be from BT, saying I was swiching to EE, and needed to send a text to my phone, but when I questioned them, they just hung up, sounds like a scam to me
