To confirm, I checked with my boss afterwards - no knowledge of Chris or the firm, nor any expected call. A man named Chris Darwin called, requesting to speak with our managing director, asserting familiarity with him by an abbreviated name and claiming they had spoken in August. Unfortunately, our managing director passed away at the end of June. I advised Chris Darwin to conduct better research for his cold calls. He hung up shortly after.
