Following a letter from Advantis requesting address confirmation, a call to this number revealed a supposed HMRC debt of over £1000, later confirmed as a scam by HMRC themselves.
Fraudsters impersonating HMRC. Confirmed by HMRC, they never reach out using such methods.
Beware of this scam number, which is being used for an Advantis Credit Tax scam.
I got a text stating, "We recently reached out regarding your account. It’s crucial you contact us immediately at 01782401123 or visit www.avantiscredit.co.uk" accompanied by a reference number. I've never heard of this company and haven't received any calls from them.
