Earlier today a woman named Nicky rang, pretending to be from an energy‑saving firm and asked about my loft insulation. She claimed they were targeting homes in my area and offering free loft surveys for over‑50s. After answering a few questions I queried the insulation type and installation cost, but she couldn't provide details and eventually admitted she worked for a marketing agency unrelated to energy, essentially pitching an unnamed business.
I was away from home and wouldn't have answered an unknown number – turned out to be an insulation scam.
