A caller with a foreign accent vaguely requested a Mrs…, mentioning a repair; when I pressed for details, they immediately hung up, clearly a scam.

In the Midlands this afternoon, a dodgy call from an unknown number raises red flags about potential scams. The caller, with a foreign accent, vaguely inquired after a 'Mrs someone' regarding a supposed repair, then abruptly hung up when questioned—classic tactics to dodge scrutiny. Beware unsolicited calls like this; they're often attempts to extract personal details or push fake services. Hang up immediately if something feels off, and never share info without verifying the source. Report suspicious numbers to Action Fraud to help protect others. Stay vigilant to avoid falling for these common cons.
