Ý kiến chuyên gia
In the Midlands around midday, these calls from persistent callers often target business directors with vague pretexts. Common patterns show callers like Charlie from Lawrences or Beta Comms refusing to disclose details, which raises red flags for potential scams or aggressive sales. Experiences describe rudeness, evasion, and even false identities, fitting telemarketing or harassment tactics. Businesses should log such calls and report to the ICO if they persist. Advise screening via a gatekeeper, demanding company info upfront, and never sharing sensitive data without verification. Blocking the number helps, but watch for similar lines as cold callers rotate them. Stay vigilant to protect against unwanted intrusions.

The caller requested ‘Amy’, who isn’t here; after apologising they hung up. It didn’t feel like spam.

Wanted the company director by their first name but clammed up on who she was or why the call. Kept pressing and she just said she'd ring back later (same old questions waiting!), dodgy as hell.
Pretending to be someone else while demanding to talk to the manager.
Seemed like a scam—kept saying they were requested to call but clammed up on details when pressed, got cheeky too, and the person they wanted wouldn't take calls without context.
Some bloke named Charlie from Lawrences rang back about a director's call - proper nasty and pushy, refused to explain the reason.
Seemed like a sales call. They insisted on speaking to the MD but wouldn’t explain why
