The call turned out to be a fraud; a woman with an East‑Asian accent claimed my Sky service was about to end, which is nonsense as I never subscribed to Sky.
Even though the number is TSP‑registered, I still receive scam calls that never leave a voicemail. Stay wary of these fraudsters.
A man calling himself Sam claimed to work for a TV maintenance firm linked to BT, Virgin and Sky, asking about TV or broadband problems. When I said I'd contact my provider, he stammered and, after insisting he represented those companies, guessed my landline provider incorrectly and then slammed the phone.
