Názor experta
Calls from this number often start with a polite greeting before abruptly ending or pushing unsolicited offers. Reports highlight varied pitches, from charity inquiries and accident claims to home improvements like solar panels or facias. Several users flagged aggressive tactics, such as hanging up when questioned or ignoring recent upgrades. Scam warnings dominate, with advice to block and report via 7726. To protect yourself, verify any caller details independently, never share personal info, and consider registering with the Telephone Preference Service. If harassed, note details for your provider or Action Fraud. Stay cautious—legit firms rarely pressure like this.

Report the fraudsters to 7726 (not a police line) and block the numbers. Also email your MP to raise two questions about the high volume of nuisance calls we receive. Why can’t we report scam attempts directly via the police ‘Action Fraud’ form? Why isn’t the telecom industry deploying Caller ID Authentication to cut down scam calls? Forward scam texts to 7726, and email screenshots of scam emails and texts to the police.
