专家点评
If you get a call from +441133205614 claiming you’re owed a marriage‑allowance refund or that you’ve missed a tax credit, be sceptical. The caller often uses a friendly tone, knows your name and pretends to be from a firm called Wyndham Group or even HMRC, but they’re most likely running a tax scam. Never confirm personal details or bank information over the phone. Hang up, block the number and report the incident to Action Fraud or the HMRC scam‑reporting service. If you’re unsure, call the official HMRC number you find on the government website – not the one the caller gives you.

During the conversation, a man addressed me by name and mentioned my marital status, which I found amusing given my young age, before he abruptly ended the call.

A scam call was made, claiming I was due a marriage tax refund.
Received a call from HMRC inquiring if it was myself or my partner regarding a marriage tax linked to my brother, asking if I earned over £1200 a year. I decided to hang up.

Thanks to this platform, I avoided calling back after researching the number.
Did not answer due to a potential fraud alert on my phone, which seems justified.
