A man claiming to be Chris from the local energy advisory council contacted me, stating that my property's loft insulation was outdated, which I believe to be false; when I asked him to provide more information about my property, he hung up, leading me to suspect that this was the start of a scam.

Someone called 'Chris' claiming to be my local area energy adviser. When I asked him what my local area was, he was unable to tell me. So I told him he was NOT my local area energy adviser, he was a scammer, and then hung up. Number now blocked.

Got a call today. They said they were from an eco loft insulation firm and wanted to check our loft as our home supposedly has outdated insulation. I requested they send me their company details before agreeing to anything, but he pressured me, saying a manager would call to arrange an inspection. Definitely fishy, and I’ll see if the manager contacts me. Perhaps I deterred them by asking for verification. I’ll provide an update if there’s further contact.
