A call claiming to be AIB and requesting account info seems fraudulent

A fraudster masqueraded as AIB offering to recover funds, yet he was the perpetrator; he called me at 7:30 PM on 11 August 2022.
Someone posing as PayPal hacked my account today, made several purchases, but I reached PayPal, got a refund and cancelled all the transactions.
These scammers are absolutely despicable.
