Edcon silent calls – how to stop the daily ring‑ups! - +27 11 491 1150 (011 491 1150)

Expertenmeinung
Imagine getting a silent call every few hours from the same number – it feels like a prank, but it’s a real nuisance. The majority of reports point to Edcon, the retailer behind Edgars and Jet, using automated dialing that never connects to a live agent. This pattern fits classic nuisance or silent call scams, designed to pressure you into answering. Practical steps: add the number to your phone’s block list, register with the national Do Not Call registry, and contact Edcon directly to request removal from their call database. If the calls persist, file a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency and keep a log of timestamps for evidence.

Super annoying. Daily calls, often multiple in a row, usually just a few rings before hanging up. If you catch it, silence for a while, and even if you wait to speak, it drops seconds later. Today I demanded they call back if cut off so I could report the harassment, but they vanished.

Legit from Edcon/Jet – if your clothing account's overdue, they hit you up to negotiate a payment plan, no doubt.

Got a call from this number back on 08/12/2016, chatted with a lady saying she repped Edcon. Now it rings 3-4 times daily. Super irritating! Told Edgars about it, fingers crossed for a reply.
